What is the difference between terrazzo and agglomerate floors? Terrazzo and agglomerated stone flooring are trending and very popular allowing the introduction of color to an installation. They are used as an alternate to natural stone flooring. Below are a few differences in the two options.
Terrazzo tiles consist of two-parts - the facing and the backing). Agglomerated tiles are not and are a single part.
Terrazzo tiles use cement as a binder; agglomerated tiles use resin
Terrazzo tiles are cast or pressed; agglomerated tiles are cut from a large block
Aggregate is always marble
